paradigm

The word paradigmis a grammar word. The word can mean a set of forms all of witch contain a specific element, or the set of all inflected forms based on a singlew theme.. Paradigm can also mean a display in fixed arrangement of a set. For example boy, boys, boy's, boys'. the word paradigm can also refer to the thought pattern in a specific scientific discipline. This word is commonly used in parables and fables. Paradigm is also used to refer to a set of words that have the same elements and similarities. the etymological explination of the word paradigm is that the word paradigm is either derived from the Greek word paradeigma which means "pattern" or "example", or it is derived from the word paradeiknunai meaning "to demonstrate". This word is about six hundred or seven hundred years old in the english language. It first appeared in the fifteenth century. This is one of few words that has been introduced to a language and kept the same exact meaning that it has when it was introduced. For nearly 400 years paradigm has also been applied to the patterns of inflections that are used to sort the verbs, nouns, and other parts of speech of a language into groups that are more easily studied.
