School shootings.

In the past few weeks in memphis there have been about six school shootings. These shootings are rising up out of no where and getting innocent people hurt. Dont get me wrong i dont think that all of the people that are getting shot are as innocent as they say they are. I remember about two weeks ago there were four days in a row where four different school had a shooting. The bad thing is that i knew two of the people that were in two seperate schools when two seperate shootings happened. Both of the stories were pretty much the same. The stories go that either a group or simply two people got into an altrication and people started coming around the scene and boosting it up. After the bystanders boosted up the scenes so much the people that were in the altrication get their friends to get into the argument also. As soon as ten people are all arguing with each other a domino effect begins to happen. just like in world wars. people get involved because their friends are, and you know everyone has a friend that will allways jump to your defense. Then when someone gets their sorry ass beat they pull out a pistol and try to act bad. Then someone on the other side pulls one out, and well the rest is history.

Dentristry.

My life long dream has been to grow up big and tall and become a dentist. I could not tell you why i wanted to become a dentist so bad, but none the less i have allways wanted to be a dentst and i still do wish to become a dentist after i graduate from the University of Memphis. As a young child i was the odd kid because instead of wanting Gi joe action figure type things i wanted stethascope and doctor kits so i could pretend to be a doctor or a dentist or where ever my imagination took me at that particular point in time. I enjoyed playing games like these. i do not have any clue why medical stuff amazed me. I was taking an anatomy class at Craigmont when i made the firm and serious decision to take on a medical feild job. This was a big step in my life because i am not the kind of person that makes these types of decisions very often. Well i guess the fact that i am lazy and dentists only work about four nine hour days a week didnt help me make my decision to be a dentist. Probabley the main thing that helped me make up my mind to be a dentist was the fact that i had recently been going to an orthadontist. I have had these damded braces for about three years and everytime i go to his office i give him a check for about three hundred dollars.

Spring Break.

My whole life i have allways seen those television shows like TRL, 106 and park, and MTV's music videos where spring break is celebrated just like a holiday. On these shows spring break it portrayed as another christmas or halloween or something. I have allways thought that spring break while you are in college was like a chuckey cheese for adult's. I all ways imagined that there would be non stop parties everywhere and that was all that people in college did on spring break was chill out and have fun with their friends. This notion of spring break has been shot down with the biggest gun you can think of. I am on the eve of myu spring break, and it feels like a regular day to me. I know that i have to do homework, do real work at my job, and even help my granddad work on his 63 Impala. That is about all i will be doing. My spring break will be filled with work, work , and more work. Well at least i will be able to work when i get done working. Yep after i finish all my work i can relieve myself by going to work and doing things taht are not fun, but that need to be done. Well its not going to be that bad. I will allways be able to sleep when iam feeling too overwhelmed by all of the work that i have been doing.

Make some one cry huh?

Okay if i was ever in the predicament where i needed to make some one cry, but i could not talk to them or touch them i would have to do something that is both drastic and well thought out. There would have to be much planing in this experiment. I would get in good with some one and then screw them over at the last moment. That is how i would make them cry. Well that would work if it a girl or something, but if i wanted to get a guy to cry i would find his girlfriend or wife or whatever and have my way with her. While i was having my way with her i would video tape thw whole thing. I would make sure to make her do nasty things that i shall not mention here. This may sound like an easy task to do, but i would need much preperation and studying of the situation before i acted. I would have to make sure that this girl that will soon be a movie star is cute. I would not like to have to pork a whale or a girl that looks like a pigeon. I would get either take a class with this girl or find out where she works and while she was not looking i would slip some extacy into her drink. then i would take her to my car, and bow chik a wow wow a movie will be made. that is how i would make a boy cry.

Aftert Iraq.

After reading this article about iraqi and middle eastern affairs I realized that the United states
highestranking officials do not have as much knowledge about the Middle East as they should have. There is a part of the article that says that Condeleeza Rice says that all people in Irq want to be a unified country of one people and one name, but in all factuality the Kurds and the other different ethnic peoples in Iraq are fighting for their own seperate independence from the country that Condeleeza rice says that they want to join. The war in the Middle East is a very expensive and very influental in the lives of the American and Middle Eastern poeple. If the front runners of the war do not know what they are fighting for then how are the poeple that are supposed to be supporting the war going to know exactly what they are supporting? The United States is meddling in affairs that really do not concern them because the intelligence that the United States government is circulating is becooming false and screwed up as the war goes on.

The Nerve of People.

As most of you know i have moved out of my grandparents house into a house of my own. I moved out sometime during my senior year of high school. I was seventeen when i moved into an apartment with my girlfriend and our dog (rambo/puddin). I never meant to move out but it just sort of evolved from spending the night over there to actually living there and not coming hoome to my grandparents anymore. Well that is all beside the point. The point that i was going to make was as soon as i moved out my grandmothers broke ass, lazy, good for nothing sister moved into my old bedroom and tried to begin taking over everyones lives like she has the right to tell others how to live. She was only supposed to be staying at my grandmothers house until she got a job and saved up the money to get her own place, but she was not about to go get a job and have to work while she got everything for free at the house. My grandfather who had a very good job could financially support her fat ass while he was working, but he retired. he was sixty seven so it was time. After he retired and came home to stay for good he forced her to get a job. She did not want this so she decided to get a job that she only has to go in three days a week. I am just greiving because she annoys the mess out of me.

SHAQ.

Well i never thought that i would say that some team had the stupid idea of trading the best center in the game, but it is was true the orlando magic traded shaq for a booty group of people. The magic have never made a worse deal than that. Although the lakers got the best deal of all time, and shaq lead them to three championships. Then it happened again the los angelas lakers traded shaquille oneal away to miami for a slaw crew of people that will never equal the amount of talent the the one player shaquille oneal brings to a basketball team. I could not believe my ears when i heard this announcement coming from espn's sportcenter. This news brought tears to my ears becuse that officially ended the los angelas lakers dynasty to an end. Not that i am a fan of the lakers or anything but i enjoyed watching themm dominate the other teams with both the best center in the game and the best guard in the game. That guard is a man simply known as Kobe. Now i am simply astonished. Shaq has been traded again. this time to the fast paced electric Phoenix suns.

World Civ. Test.

Okay yesterday I had my first test in my World Civ. class. This test was no ordinary test, but it was an exam which counts for fifteen percent of my whole grade. So as you know this is a very very important test for me to take. I was misinformed because I thought the test was pn next thursday. I am lucky that one of my classmates texted me and asked if i needed any help in studying for tomorrows test. I was so shocked, but yet i was extremely hpy that i recieved this info before the time to tkae the test. I was able to study that night and then the next morning, and i became familiar with the majority of the subject matter for the test. I was still nervous when i entered the room for the test, but as soon as i recieved the test and looked at it I knew instsntly that this test would be easy because i learned all of this info the night before. The relief that swarmed over me was too enormous to bare. The only way that i was able to contain my happiness was because i smiled at am neighbor who texted me and said that the test was tomorrow and say thank you to her.

The phrase “Get out the vote” is a very controversial phrase. This term means that no matter how you as a person that is eligible to vote you must go out and vote. Voting is a right that has been passed to the American people from the constitution. The constitution does not say that you have to vote, but it gives you the right as a human to vote for the person that you see to be the best for said job.
The voice that pops into my head when I hear the slogan “get out the vote” is my Granddad’s. The reason for this is because my Grandfather is from the time period that this article was written in, and he shares the same views that the article represents. I remember the day that I turned eighteen. My Granddad called my cell phone and told me that it was time to go get registered to vote. I did not understand why this was so urgent to him that I get registered so soon, but it only took a few seconds before he told me that “No matter what you are going to vote in all of the elections that come your way. It is your right and duty to do so”. Now every time I hear anything about voting I always think about my Din-Din (that is my Granddad). It also seems that I reference these type terms to Republicans because of course my Granddad is a Republican.
The audience for this phrase is a very broad audience. It is simple the audience is every person in the United States that is eligible to vote. All people that are allowed to vote in the United States should “get out the vote”. Well the article does target mainly target those people in the USA that are not getting out to place their vote. The reason that voter’s are being influenced to “get out the vote” is because the candidates know that they will receive an enormous amount of votes because their names are on the top of the list.
Probably the most notorious “get out the vote” phrase from recent times would be “Vote or Die”. “Vote or Die” is a phrase the P Diddy (Sean “puffy” Combes) came up with for the 2004 voting campaign. P Diddy came up with this phrase because he knew that he is a super star, and young people will follow what ever he says. Lets face it everyone follow celebrities, and they know it and try to take advantage of it. P Diddy was not alone with this “Vote or Die” campaign he also had Paris Hilton, Kanye West, and the whole VH1 crew rocking his slogan.
The main difference between these two phrases is that the “get out the vote” slogan was focusing on the people in the United States that were not voting and also trying too keep the regulars voting, but P Diddy’s “Vote or Die” was putting the main focus on the younger people. “Vote or Die” tried to get the “Hip Hop generation” who is not known for the regular voting habits to get out and vote. Although “get out the vote” was simply trying to make everyone vote “Vote or Die” picked a side, and wanted everyone to vote for a certain candidate.
The main point of this article is to defend the right that everyone has to vote or not to vote. The article declares that “get out the vote” is not a very strong political device. This term is not helping out the voting process, but yet getting everyone out and voting is slowing down the process. The article also states that all of the people that come to vote with an intelligent perspective of the candidates are being cancelled out by the people who simply come for the act of voting. When everyone comes to vote with out an intelligent mind set the process becomes slower, more expensive, and makes it harder to put your vote in. Voting is a privilege. There is not a law that says you have to vote. The article also says that there will eventually be laws passed that you will have to vote or their will be fines or even jail time if you choose not to vote. I am not surprised that the article was written about fifty years ago. Although even today there are still campaigns that try to “get out the vote”.

Mcdonalds

Working at Mcdonalds is a pretty fun job. Well at times there are problems that occur, but the majority of the time i have a fairly decent time working there. The main thing that makes the just seem boring or aggrivating is when customers complaign about the smallest little things. For instance today a lady complaigned that her nuggetts were cold (trust me these nuggetts were fresh). I said okay mam i will have someone drop you some fresh nuggetts. All yuo have to do is pull up and wait for three minutes, and they will be righht out. This crazy lady went livid talking about she wanted to talk to my manager. I was calm about saying that I am the manager, and that what i am doing is Mcdonalds policy. She would not accept that i was the manager because i am young. So I calmly talked her into pulling her up and every one was happy from then on. Well i got a good laugh at her anyway.

A sad day in my life.

Okay I realize that the super bowl has been over and done with for about a week, but I must say that i am just getting over my shock that has overcome me. As you all know from reading my blogs that I am a DIE HARD Patriots fan. I have been for that team since I started watching football. I was and still am in a state of disbelief because the G men won the STUPID Bowl. I do not want to make excuses for the Patriots, but i feel obligated to. Tom Brady did not have a good game. This could come from a previous injury, or even something more diobolical. The Giants came to play that game and the Pats did not plain and simple. I just hope that the Pats can come back from this defeat with their head held high and have a good ofseason where they obtain a few good draft picks. This next season will be the end of the Patriots dynasty because they will lose the majority of their star players to either free agancy or retirement. Just to let you know i did not cry. I came close to throwing something, but no tears came out.
